About Us

In 1997 Burdens acquired W E Bullick & Co, a well-established pressure pipeline business based at Newtownabbey near Belfast.

In 1999 PVF (Pipes Valves & Fittings) in Dublin became part of the Irish business adding its significant specialist product ranges to its customers in the Leinster area and throughout Ireland.

Also in 1999 Burdens acquired ESF (Environmental Street Furniture) in Northern Ireland and further developed its product offering with its collections of Simplicity, Sustainable and Signature product ranges.

In 2009 Burdens TPS (Total Pipeline Specialists) in Lisburn joined the company, thereby adding another pressure pipeline distributor with all its inherent product & market knowledge. Burdens unique co-ownership model together with this latest acquisition has consolidated Burdens position as the leading Irish provider of pressure pipeline products to the potable and dirty water sectors.

A Co-ownership Model

BCF Benefits Children in Africs - Burdens Lorry & DriverW.T. Burden Limited is a private company, co-owned between a charitable foundation, the people that work for the organisation and the founding families.

This ownership structure has played an important role in the growth of our Company and has significantly influenced the culture created.

The Charitable Foundation helps good causes at home but chiefly in developing countries, recognising the important role that the charitable sector now fulfils in our own society and equally our responsibility to the creation of a fairer world.

Ensuring that our own people have the opportunity to share in the growth they create, through the value of their shares, both recognises and supports their long term commitment and innovation. Indeed, employee share ownership is a key element of the Company’s Vision and Values.
